The mighty and the worms
Spent awhile watching the worm feeding ceremony held recently in Sri Menanti. People from all walks of life were present (sarcastically speaking)... the royal/kin, the executive, the wealthy, the powerful, the influential... and of course those who served the first group... the uniformed units, the mufti's, drivers, caterers, usher's, civil servants, the canopy team... etc.
There were a few things noticeable (its hard to censor life telecasts);
1. When initially some members of the ceremony was so respectful of the dead and not willing to step on the dirt and slowly emptying sacks of dirt onto the grave... ended up with the RMAF personal doing a fast job, no non-sense and even packing the dirt with their shoes, stomping on the grave itself. Almost laughed out loud. Was so amused felt rugi lak tak pergi.
2. There were those in white... and black... the whites were mostly kin... from both sides.The women in white... well... only two were wearing proper hijab/tudung. The others? Anyone could see they weren't the tudung type. Not to be judgemental but these are people and lineage which is supposed to uphold Islam...
3. Hmmm.... if i were to die... i'd sure like my wife's or sons or daughters or their offspring's to sprinkle rose water on my grave while praying for my well being in the after world... NOT a non-related Sultan, or non-related PM, or irrelevant people not from my bloodline. Where the hell was his sons or daughters??? Sitting on a chair watching the whole ceremony while cursing their luck not being appointed as head of state? Possible.
Its public record that Tg Munawirs lineage was shunned and treated as outcasts... Hey...if i was a threat to your throne because of my birthright, you'd definitely keep away or possibly assassinate me. Anyway... i was hoping Sheikh M would've heated things a bit... you know... talk about sins, corruption... and related pain and torture. How redemption would only be accepted after the person involved forgives. Maybe throw abit on how LEADERs will be the most questioned in Masyar... and how those who abuse power and oppress will be punished a billion times more. Sure would've lightened things up when peoplestart feeling guilty instead of mourning.
There was news of people organizing new years & christmas bashes... where all party goers have to be naked. Nothing new in that...its just the authorities were too slow to pick it up. To add insult to injury... besides being slow(stupid, ignorant, idiots, with no knowledge whatsoever of whats going around), the authorities are also understaffed, under budget, and to top things off the heads are political slaves. I really can't understand why an agency of religious importance be politicised. They can't even handle actresses/actors.... can't even assure that we get100% HALAL food ... can't even deal with muslim alcoholics, out of wed lock muslim children, social problems pertaining muslims. And to make things even more worse... their political masters don't know shit about religion. Well, maybe Najib would know bits and pieces about Hindu rituals.
Over and over Islam has been desecrated by politicians. I wonder why some middle east countries are trying to copy Islam Hadhari. That thing doesn't even exist. I'm no scholar... but there is only Islam. No Islam Hadhari,or Islam Badawi or Islam Sukahatibapakaku. Interpetration is allowed, but with guidelines... not ideas shoved around during political strategy discussions by non-scholars. The problem is, even those in religious agencies find the concept of Islam Badawi a joke.
MACC's function is to be seen. Why should there be one...when the ACA is there? Couldn't they have empowered ACA instead rather than make a totally different entity? Same with the Judicial Commission. They could've done somthing with the constitution or amend existing laws/rules. But that would end up forming a different commission, and a commission to investigate that comissions findings, which in turn will be referred to a comission comissioning commissions? It'll never end if umno still exists... and all this while the people are fooled again... and again.
You know what... now i eagerly read the morning paper to see which leader dies. Hopefully not the good ones.
